Heart of the Fujifilm FinePix T350
The Fujifilm FinePix T350 comes with 14-megapixel 1/2.3-inch (6.17×4.55mm) CCD sensor with primary colour filter. Although its sensor size and resolution may be lower than other compact sized cameras, it makes up for this limitation through its CCD sensor. The CCD, though more expensive than a CMOS, is known to offer better quality and low-noise images.
The FinePix T350 also comes with a Dual Image Stabilization. This is a feature that is useful in the camera’s maximum zoom range. It combines the high sensitivity (up to ISO 1600, or 3200 if image size is S) and CCD shift image stabilization to freeze an action which minimizes or even possibly eliminate blur in an image, that is shot in motion or in low light conditions.
Futhermore, it comes with a Fujinon 10x Optical Zoom giving you a broad range to shoot your subject. From as wide as 28mm to as close as 280 mm), this is perfect for travel photo opportunities.
Video Recording and In-Camera Editing
The FinePix T350 can record HD movies at 720p (30 fps). You can zoom in while recording, but audio isn’t included when using the optical zoom.
The advantage comes during editing. You can crop and save only the parts of a video you want using Movie Trimming – all in the camera. Clip and combine to create a movie of up to 2GB in size using this cool feature called Movie Join.
Other Special Features
The Fujifilm Finepix T350 offers 6 different scenes in its SR AUTO Mode. These are: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait, and Backlit Portrait. But aside from this standard component which can be seen in most compact cameras nowadays, it offers additional features to complement its auto mode.
Face Detection – can recognize up to 10 faces and adjust the focus and exposure to maximize image results.
Face Recognition – you can register up to 8 people which the camera will identify and prioritize in terms of settings and quickly search their photos during playback.
Blink Detection – warns you if the person in the image blinked and gives you the option to retake.
Smile and Shoot Mode – the shutter is automatically released when it detects someone smiled.
Red-Eye Removal – automatically corrects eyes when detected.
Motion Panorama – the camera guides you in taking three consecutive images to make sure they are aligned then automatically stitches them together to create a panoramic shot.
Natural Light and With-Flash – this prompts the camera to automatically capture a scene twice, one with natural light and the other with flash. This gives you the option to choose one or keep both.
